The Ronald McDonald House runs with a very small staff and is manned from 8 a.m. to 8.30 p.m. each day.
Volunteers are essential to the smooth running of the House – and come from all walks of life. Most offer a morning, afternoon or evening’s help every week and hours – particularly during the day – can be flexible to suit other commitments.
Daytime volunteers help with all aspects of housekeeping in particular ensuring that the House is as comfortable and welcoming as possible.
Evening volunteers are more office based covering a range of duties from answering telephones to dealing with families’ enquiries.
If you feel that you would be able to help – we would love to hear from you. You will be matched with a more experienced volunteer until you feel confident.
